26th April 2008 saw PORT-ER Director Diana Corrick in Bedford.There she presented a Grant for £400 to Luton & Dunstable DSC Prosthetic User Group to support their amputee swimming club. |

“This group epitomises so much of what PORT-ER is seeking to encourage, the group involves whole families from babies to grandparents and the emphasis is purely to have fun and exercise in a safe, non judgemental atmosphere” said Diana. |
Anne White DSC Manager (far left) explained how the pool management team have welcomed the group and provided additional poolside wheelchairs to reduce delays for people leaving the pool.

"This picture has become a favourite as it illustrates so well that there is a great life to be lived after
amputation and both Richard and Debbie here are living it to the full!
It was a great visit and I really enjoyed meeting this lovely group of people."
